It’s Sunday, 'and what have I have been working on today?' Well, it's the last two days, actually..... a rundown bathroom.
First off, I stripped it, plastered it with a Knauf compound, and washed the tile-grout with a professional cleaner.
My plan for this project is ... Paint the ceiling after treating the mould, with a Johnstones durable matt- the same to the walls (my customers choice of colour is, Carnation).
The woodwork, after years of paint layers, needs cleaning, sanding and stabilising with a Johnstones shellac. I will then undercoat with an acrylic primer/undercoat, ready for the top coats of gloss.
The tile-grout will be rejuvenated with a diamond white, pen, compliments of B@Q.
More piccys tomorrow

Okay, today is Monday.
First-off, below are the tools of my trade for the day. I have a new, general-trade paintbrush for cutting-in, and a brand-new hand-made Purdy brush for glossing- there’s also a mini roller, compliments of Wooster for me to try out (it’s a new-fandangled bearing-run, one). The flat-fitch brush is there to get to dem’ nasty crevices.
And last, but-by-no-means-least, 'my van'. It carried us all here (me and my equipment, that is)
The finished product is a pensioners old bathroom, upgraded to a clean, pink-carnation, ablution for the elderly.
‘Voila,’ I kiss my fingers.
